About the Study Center

Our Vision and Purpose

To encourage the learning and teaching of God's eternal Word of Truth by providing an academic learning environment for learners and teachers of the biblical text. Uniquely, it is the vision of the founders of this Study Center that people connect locally, not just digitally, for the pupose of developing a learning community in close physical proximity with one another. This is not to discourage distance learning, but instead to facilitate and encourage in person learning for individuals willing to draw near with one another physically for the purpose of expanding their understanding of the Scriptures and its background.

Our Work

The Schubach Study Center advances the study and interpretation of Scripture through courses, lectures, academic scholarship, and library resources. This work engages the historical world of the Bible, including ancient Judaism, archaeology, biblical languages, and the land of Israel, including study tours of the biblical sites.

Who We are For

The Schubach Library & Study Center is for intellectually curious Christians and Jews who want to read the Bible anew through the study of its ancient world. Our courses, lectures, and conversations invite thoughtful learners to explore biblical texts in their Jewish, historical, and cultural settings. Scholars often serve as our teachers, bringing their expertise into an accessible setting where no specialized academic training is required. We welcome people who are prepared to ask fresh questions, reconsider familiar readings, and learn across Jewish and Christian traditions.
